For those looking for both quality and economy, we have our popular mixed loads. Contains a mixture of hardwood and softwood firewood, either coming straight from our arboriculture operations, or from forest thinnings.
Once you have placed your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email from us letting you know we’ve received the order. We’ll then contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date and time.
Getting the optimum performance from your firewood:
Not recommended for immediate burning on wood burners or closed appliances. Must be stored for a quantity of time to finish off seasoning in an open log store not a shut garage, shed or inside your house as the wood needs to be able to breathe. Generally this time is around 2-3 weeks but can be quicker or longer depending on species of hardwood.
All our firewood comes from sustainable sources, either forestry thinning’s which is an integral part of forest management or bi-product from arboriculture operations.

Load Sizes Explained
Over the years, we have found the easiest and most transparent way to sell our firewood is to measure it using builders bulk bags. This way, we can be sure that each load is a standard size based on volume. Load sizes are the following:

As a comparison with other sellers, our single load would not fit into the back of a pick-up truck, it would spill over with approximately 25% or more not fitting in.
We get as much as possible into the builders bulk bags. The bags themselves measure around 0.9 cubic meters as we heap them above the bag line, however the bags them selves are filled via a conveyor belt and the logs fall into the bag in a random fashion so they are not stacked wall to wall as a solid cube. When you buy a bulk bag of wood from Devon-logs you are buying the area size of a loose packed builders bulk bag and not a solid wall to wall 0.9 solid cube.

To get a delivery estimate before you buy:

The delivery price for your location will be shown before you go ahead to the checkout.
Delivery is charged on distance and not weight, so customers living further away often find it convenient to buy in bulk as the delivery charge is the same.
